BTH is among the world’s most outstanding higher education institutions within software engineering and sustainable development. Everything we do at BTH has three distinct perspectives: innovation, sustainability and collaboration with industry and society. Our vision is to conduct education and research in which engineering and IT are integrated with other disciplines such as urban planning, industrial economics, design and health sciences to help solve the challenges facing society.

BTH is located in the Blekinge region in southeastern Sweden and has campuses in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. The campuses are both on the seafront and are known for being some of the most beautiful in Sweden.

Life on campus is multicultural as we attract students and staff from all around the world. We also collaborate in exchange programmes and networks with universities in Europe and other parts of the world.

Our goal is that our courses and programmes will give students opportunities to build a career within their chosen field. Therefore, our focus is not only on what happens during the studies, but also what happens after.

Many of our courses and programmes include student projects tied to real life demands and conducted together with industry. This way, the students will gain insight into their future profession and contacts with potential future employers already during their studies.

BTH makes the most of being a small university. Our students quickly get to know one another, and the study groups are small. Students can easily get in contact with teaching staff and other employees. This creates a rewarding, interesting and safe study environment. Our teaching staff conduct research which strengthens and keeps their skills up to date in the area in which they teach.
